Description

An exceptionally rare and highly documented 1970 Dodge Charger R/T V-Code 440 Six Pack, finished in iconic Plum Crazy (FC7) and equipped with the Track Pak. This is a numbers-matching, factory Four-Speed car that has undergone a rotisserie restoration and is listed in the Chrysler Registry.

Of the 347 V-Code Charger R/Ts produced in 1970, this example represents one of the most desirable configurations available. It is documented by its original build sheet and fender tag, and is recorded as #84 of 138 in the Chrysler Registry. Even more notably, it is one of only a handful of factory Plum Crazy V-Code Four-Speed cars known to exist.

Power comes from the legendary E87 440 Magnum Six Pack V8 (390 HP), mated to a D21 Hurst pistol-grip 4-speed manual transmission and backed by a Dana 60 Sure Grip rear axle—the definitive Mopar high-performance drivetrain. The car is exceptionally strong-running and drives as well as it presents.

Finished to a very high standard, the Charger retains its factory-correct appearance and options, including power steering, power disc brakes, full gauge package with Tic-Toc-Tach, and numerous desirable trim and performance features. Everything functions properly with the exception of the radio.

This Charger represents the pinnacle of late-era Mopar muscle—rare, correct, beautifully restored, and supported by exceptional documentation.
