A rare and desirable 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Fastback, owned by the current caretaker for the past five years and extensively refreshed for reliable performance and enjoyable driving. This Formula S has received significant mechanical and system upgrades while retaining important original components.
Power comes from a newly rebuilt 360 cubic-inch V8, featuring a hydraulic Purple Stripe cam, flat-top pistons, and an Edelbrock 800 CFM 4-barrel carburetor, supported by a new aluminum radiator. The drivetrain is completed by a newly rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission and a Chrysler 8¾-inch posi rear end, delivering strong acceleration and classic Mopar character.
The original 273 2-barrel engine is included with the sale, adding value and originality for collectors or future restoration considerations.
The suspension has been fully overhauled with Super Stock springs and QA shocks, while power steering, power brakes, and antique auto air conditioning improve drivability and comfort. The fuel and braking systems have been renewed with a new fuel tank, fuel lines, brakes, brake lines, and master cylinder.
Cosmetically, the car presents well as a solid driver. Approximately 40% of the paint is original, while the chrome and glass are in excellent condition and the bumpers are new. New rear quarter panels and windshield moldings are included with the sale for the next owner to install if desired.
