An exceptionally restored 1979 Porsche 911 SC Euro-spec coupe, featuring the highly desirable sunroof delete configuration. Imported to California in 2014, this car was taken down to a bare tub and underwent a comprehensive, no-compromise restoration, encompassing all mechanical, electrical, suspension, cosmetic, and interior systems.
Since completion, the car has traveled approximately 100 miles, and has been meticulously stored in a temperature-controlled environment, kept on a lift, and exercised only through periodic short drives with regular warm-ups to operating temperature.
For the purist, full transparency: during the restoration, the decision was made to change the exterior color from the original Petrol Blue to the timeless and iconic Guards Red. While not factory-original in color, the execution is flawless and the result is visually striking. What remains is, in effect, a like-new 1979 911 SC coupe, finished to a standard that rivals or exceeds factory delivery condition.
The black leather interior has been completely redone and presents in flawless condition. The 3.0-liter flat-six has been fully rebuilt and is equipped with an Electromotive Engine Control ignition system by Clewett Engineering, providing improved reliability, consistent spark delivery, and effortless cold and hot starting.
